In the present research, a novel mercury (II) metal organic coordination compound, [Hg(Q)I2]n (Q = pyridine-4-carbaldehyde thiosemicarbazide) with nano rods shape was prepared applying an ultrasonic manner. The synthesized compound determined infrared spectroscopy (IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). solid-state, polymer takes appearance of zig-zag 1D polymer. number Hg is four by one sulfur atom ligand three iodine atoms which two are coordinated to other repeating units, unattached. chains interact neighboring via weak interactions, making 3D supramolecular It found that using high-intensity ultrasound facile, versatile, eco-friendly synthetic instrument for compounds.
